Please allow 2-3 weeks for printed tickets and 24 hours for e-tickets
How does Instant Win work on a gifted ticket?
The Giftee will be the recipient of the Instant Win chance(s), the Instant Win chance(s) are delivered with the purchase receipt for all that order, since the giftee does not get the receipt, at the end of the campaign, all unclaimed instant winners will receive notice if they are an Instant Win winner.
Is the ticket tax deductible/do you get a tax receipt?
No there is no tax receipt issued, and the ticket is not tax deductible.
Must the ticket purchaser and the name on the ticket be over the age of 18 years?
When ordering on-line, do I get an e-mail confirmation?
Can tickets be put in the name of a corporation or business?
Yes. Should the ticket be a winner, the prize is then awarded to the corporation or
business and the person who claims the prize must be able to prove they are an
authorized officer of that company.
How many names can be put on a ticket?
Should a purchaser want to put more than 2 names on a ticket it is recommended that the purchaser keeps records of who is involved with the purchase. The licensee will not be responsible for any conflict between joint ticket purchases. In the event of a winning ticket stub having more than one name the lottery will award the prize to any individual whose name is listed on the stub. The licensee is not responsible for resolving any disputes, which may arise from different individuals.
Can people order from outside the province of Alberta?
Any purchaser who RESIDES OUTSIDE ALBERTA BUT IS PHYSICALLY WITHIN ALBERTA AT TIME OF PURCHASE may purchase a ticket. The ticket can be mailed to any address (even outside of Alberta). The Children’s Hospital Lottery is not responsible for provincial, or state taxes imposed on a prize exported out of Alberta.
Who cannot purchase tickets?
Contest guidelines prohibit the following people from purchasing tickets: The Lottery Manager, the Ticket Auditor, the Lottery Committee, employees of Stride Management Corp., immediate family of those listed above and anyone under the age of 18.
(Immediate family member is defined as: parent, brother, sister, son, daughter or spouse).

How are the instant win prizes awarded?
All Children’s Hospital Lottery main tickets available at the time of licensing will have a chance at an Instant Win prize. If an email address is provided with your order, your purchase confirmation email will include a link with instructions on how to reveal and claim any Instant Win prizes.
If an email address is not provided, all unclaimed Instant Win winners will receive notice if they have won once the lottery has closed.
Any Instant Win prizes not sold will be redrawn during the final draws from all eligible tickets sold.

The lottery draws will be conducted using an RNG (Random Number
Generation) system. The winning raffle draw number shall be determined from the pool sold lottery ticket numbers.

The names, cities and winning ticket numbers of winners will be published on Children’s Hospital Lottery website childrenshospitallottery.ca.

What does it mean to have Children’s Hospital Lottery Membership?
Members are on-going purchasers of the Children’s Hospital Lottery, who opt in to pre-register their ticket order preferences for all future licensed Children’s Hospital Lotteries and agree to have their lottery tickets issued automatically at the start of all future Children’s Hospital Lotteries.
How do I sign up for a Membership?

What are the benefits of The Children’s Hospital Lottery Membership?
Is there a fee to become a member?
No. There is no fee to become a member, and there is no commitment. You can cancel your membership at any time.
How many Children’s Hospital Lotteries are there?
Currently, the lottery runs once per calendar year.
Do I receive prior notice before my credit card is charged?
Yes. All Members receive notice approximately 1-2 weeks before their credit card is charged, and tickets are allocated. Members can amend their ticket order, credit card and personal details during this time if required, as well as cancel their Membership order at any time.
How do members receive their tickets?
All Members with an eligible email address will receive their tickets electronically within 3-4 business days of their credit card being charged. Members will require a valid email to sign up but can opt to select printed tickets. Tickets will be sent within 2-3 weeks via Canada Post upon their credit card being charged.
Can I cancel my membership?
